I feel like a lot of this is driven by a bias towards the unknown. You don’t know all the security issues in something new or even something old that doesn’t get the same level of testing as Linux.

I would trust security hardened Linux over all of the suggestions any day of the week. Better the devil you know.

The past few years have had at least four reaident evil games in development at the same time.

Re3make, 4make, village, that weird multiplayer one all going at the same time. It’s really not as unusual as you are making it seem. People like resident evil more than ever right now.

I imagine the situation is similar to this, but maybe mobile or switch games involved.

They have one, but you also want information to be where people are. Especially if where people are is full of misinformation and rumours.

Microsoft will have made this guy a billionaire, and he doesn’t deserve a penny. Oh well, at least we get to keep specific games away from another game platform, I’m sure that makes it worth it.
