I was watching Sons of Anarchy, and had gotten pretty far. I had heard that it was based on Hamlet, and could see a bit of the similarities with it. I wanted to know who some of the other characters were supposed to be in relation to the play… and I discovered thanks to the first article at the top of the search that HUGE SPOILER COMING IN AND IDK HOW TO TAG IT OTHER THAN THESE BIG OLD CAPS the main character Jax becomes a widower thanks to his loving mother, and a very large fork. Absolutely brutal to watch, but less impactful than if I went in cold.

I’m not saying his overall intent was a bad one. But if you try something like that, in a country like Pakistan, you do kinda deserve to be in a mental hospital. I understand trying to spread acceptance and provide a safe place to go for those not accepted by the local society at large, but maybe there are better, even slightly more accepting places where this kind of idea would pan out. A law like this is going to have the opposite of the “intended” effect. It’s going to make people hate Jewish folk as a whole. Imagine being part of the genocidal protected class, feeling untouchable, you’re going to push those boundaries more and more until you’re universally detested.
