One of my favorite game publishers, this is wild (and not the Outer kind of wild). I’m super curious if the entire staff will start their own publishing company (which I imagine is harder to do without the financial backing of a billionaire’s daughter) or if they’ll split off and go their separate ways.

I’m also very curious if this will start changing the kinds of games Annapurna publishes or if they’ll still take interest in odd and niche games that need a publisher. I wish I knew more about the dispute here but time will tell what happens next at some point.

Mobius is pretty fascinating and Klein is hilarious! They all have their own quirky charm that makes them all fun to interact with, though I’m partial to Dr. 0 simply because it’s the same guy that voiced Dr. Venture on The Venture Bros. and the Wild Wasteland trait has him reference the “giant walking eye” as a nod to the show.

Whose your favorite out of all the doctors at the Big MT?

No announcement or confirmation from Night School Studio regarding GOG, Steam, the Playstation Store, or the Nintendo eShop as of yet. My guess is they would give a decent warning announcement if it were to leave those outlets as well, but regardless I did download my copy from GOG to my backup drive just in case.

Just to clarify, what temperature do you set your freezer at and does it stay that temp of do you notice it fluctuating more than a few degrees throughout the day?

I’ve got family members that have loyally progressed through this game over the course of years and they absolutely love it still. Great music throughout.

Gubernatorial

I’m not sure if it’s underrated but Mario Tennis Advance for the Game Boy Advance is a gigantic standout for the series.

It’s an action RPG from the same company that made the Golden Sun games for the GBA. The usual fun power hits and tennis mechanics with some of the tightest controls in the series with quality world building and the kind of RPG satisfaction you’d get from a company like Camelot.

Jian-Yang!

It’s split into eight episodes and I went through the same audience arc that a lot of people did. I came in with way too high of expectations, was able to temper them during the second episode, and then once I got a feel for it I finally started enjoying it from the third episode on. If nothing else, it is obvious how excited everyone was to work with Mel Brooks and a lot of behind-the-scenes interviews go into how Mel is still the sharpest guy in the room and kept everyone laughing throughout production.

That actually did come out! Mel Brooks produced it, it’s on Hulu.

Definitely. There was this lucid dream where I was excited that I actually realized I was dreaming and could experience it conciously. There were certain things I couldn’t do and eventually people in the dream revealed I couldn’t control those things because I wasn’t actually dreaming, but was dead.

It was a good twist. Freaked me out and I couldn’t wake up so I figured it was true. Of course the double twist was that I wasn’t actually dead and was just in fact dreaming, but it was a good ride. It’s got kind of a lynchian vibe that I’d be down to just watch it as a movie.

How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?

Definitely one of those games with incredible background designs that are worth just stopping and looking at sometimes. It’s one of the few games I’ve gotten 100% achievements on and a large part of that is I can treasure hunt a long time when the scenery gives me something stunning to look at.

Does that mean you pulled off being mean to Kim? Of those that have tried, most can’t go through with it, and I myself lack the conviction to ever even attempt it.
