The only one actually going away on this list is Boston Market. All the others are pretty healthy when it comes to location count, but a few may continue their downfall
I repeatedly wonder how much of our economy has been supported solely on a foundation of underpaid labor.
Outside of the executive class, I’d say the vast majority of it at this point.

None of these chains need to be in business at all. Low-quality food at high prices.
No mention of red lobster? Lower hanging fruit doesn’t exist! Hell, the author probably forgot they existed as well.
Cracker Barrel can’t keep employees for more than a few weeks. Maybe if they weren’t driven away the customer experience wouldn’t be as bad as it has become. I used to love going to CB but now? It’s the same story as every other restaurant. Understaffed with inexperienced people making minimum wage.
There is a reason it’s called cracker barrel.
The only thing on this list I would miss is Mod. They’re the only place I can get a real pizza for a reasonable price with all the anchovies ever.
